what happens during a reflexology treatment?

  • Clients will only need to remove shoes and socks to receive reflexology, however, it is preferable to wear loose clothing in order to access the lower leg area.

  • You have the option of laying on a reclining chair which is designed for this treatment or a massage table.

  • At the first appointment a health consultation will be conducted to provide me with an understanding of your health and lifestyle and how you feel physically and emotionally. All details received are private and confidential. At present I am offering a FaceTime consultation 24hr prior to the session which saves time during the treatment session and this allows me to make a more bespoke treatment plan for you.

  • I offer a pre-treatment foot soak using the calming effects of epsom salts in a large copper bowl used for its physical and mental benefits: relaxing tired feet; improving circulation; boosting immunity; and reducing inflammation.

  • I will use a variety of reflexology techniques adapted to suit your individual needs using fingers and thumbs to apply pressure to the feet, lower legs, hands or face depending on the type of reflexology chosen.

  • I use a variety of mediums (e.g oils & balms) and use organic Neals Yard products to suit your individual skin needs and any allergies you may have.

  • Findings are discussed at the end of the treatment session.

  • Treatment lasts for approximately one hour.

Treatments I offer

After your treatment

  • The application and effect of the therapy is unique to each person. Some people notice a positive change to their wellbeing and feelings of deep relaxation during their first reflexology session, while others with longer-term health problems, may require more treatments.

  • The treatment may help stimulate the body’s own natural healing process as it increases the circulation of the body’s system; some people report feeling tired or euphoric and one can also experience increased urination as the body eliminates toxins.

How to help yourself

Drink plenty of water following a treatment - this will aid the release of toxins

Take more time to relax afterwards - this helps the body’s own natural healing process

Avoid caffeinated drinks and alcohol for 24 hours after

Any side effects should pass within 24 hours and is a good sign that your body is responding to the reflexology and beginning the healing process

Love and take time for your feet
